Do you mean you're running both of those programs at the same time? I just run them one at a time, never at the same time.

They both are good programs to use for spyware removal. There's no one program that gets all the spyware. Spyblaster is another one that I use. Just my 2 cents!

I've never seen a conflict with SpyBot if it's run manually. I run that, SpyWare Blaster and Avast on several of my computers with no problems, along with Comodo firewall. No conflicts with any.

  4. The only conflict I could see would be if you were running teatimer and the AAW functio that does the same thing. Other than that I run both and only run teatimer.

  5. For some reason, Spybot takes precedence over Adaware. It does get annoying though, everytime I install something, change a setting or go to a new website, Spybot asks me 1) "approve it" or 2) "deny it" and whether or not I want to remember it. If I click the wrong one, assuming I'm not 100% sure what it is asking, it can change my settings.

the tea timer is protecting your regisrty, any time something tries to write to the registry spybot asks your permission and whether or not to remember it.

if you are just surfing the net and it asks you, i would deny, if you are installing or uninstalling software at the time it asks you, then allow it.

    compterchuck,

It might be being picky, but... Just a note that you should have said:

'infected with the antivirus 2008 spyware programs'...and its derivatives.
    Have a good one,
