I haven't been copying DVDs for a few months because I have accumulated so many DVDs but I attempted to rip the movie 21 with ripit4me/DVD Decryptor and it came up with an error message stating that the DVD is dirty or scratched. I went to see if there was a newer version of Ripit4me and found that it hasn't been updated since March 2007. Can anyone tell me what DeCSS and ARccOS decrypters are keeping up with Sony's obsession to prevent customers from backing up their movies?

PS- The DVD is brand new and not an imperfection on it. Please don't tell me that there is an issue with the DVD because it plays fine

You need to use DVDFAB HD DECRYPTER.

    http://www.dvdfab.com/free.htm

When you open up the program just use the FREE DVDFAB HD DECRYPTER portion of the program.

If after using DVDFAB HD DECRYPTER & you're still not able to rip the files it could be your dvdrom/dvd burner laser is dying. Therefore it fails to read the dvd discs correctly. You'll have to buy a new dvd burner which is cheap these days at $30.00 & some online sites offer free shipping too.

CloneDVD2 wasn't able to burn and compress the ripped files but DVD shrink did it without problem. I didn't think my DVD Burner had any issues. It's a 2 year old Pioneer 16X DVD-+R.
    Thanks again for updating me
