I recently purchased a JVC Everio camcorder and I would like to know what editing software is available to handle the format used which I believe is MPEG-2. Specifically, I would like to create my own movies by clipping, adding my own audio and graphics, modify display (eg. fish eye, grain). Is there such a software available or is it better to convert to a more common format such as WVA to be used with Windows movie maker or Sony Vegas and the like?

Search JVC Everio and .mod for several threads on this problem. The Everio files are similar to DVHS format and don't have wide software support.Originally Posted by trw2772Recommends: Kiva.org - Loans that change lives.
