Thank you...I'll give it a shot. Does it also allow communication from PC to PC in my network...wired and wireless?

I don't know, I just started using it today! I was looking for a replacement for MMJB too. I have all my music in a network share so it's available to every computer in the house. WinAmp can access that without any problems.

It has a playlist (View -> Playlist) and will play through all the files. I'm not sure if you can queue up entries by double clicking in Explorer. But you can drag and drop.

    Just my 2 cents worth.
    MEDIA MONKEY for the win!

I had the same issue when I had to switch away from my MMJB (and I had a lifetime license). The Yahoo version is just atrocious.

I recommend you get the monkey, and get the lifetime update sub.

It is the most utilitarian program out there (I love all direct (right click) ways of sending/copying/converting tracks), while remaining friendly at the same time.

One item of note that took me way too long to figure out: if you want to sort by multiple headings, say Artist then Album then track #, click artist first, then CTRL+ click the rest of the items to sub-sort by.

Second item: you'll need to store your RATINGS in a generic (preferably unused) mp3 tag as MMJB's ratings system doesn't direct import to MM. I just sorting in MMJB by rating and then group tagged the 5's, then 4's, etc., until they all had the ratings tagged in a spot I could sort on in MM, where I then retagged (by group) those for MM purposes.

I still haven't found the nerve to switch. I'm still using Musicmatch Jukebox 7.5. If I need to tag anything then I just go online and find the album and tag it myself. That's what I used to do anyway when I was afraid that MMJB was spyware with the online look up and tagging.

It was nice having MMJB do it for me but looking up the artist and albums online is half the fun so as nice as the feature was, I think I can live without it.

I may try Media Monkey sometime but I just can't bring myself to change right now.

I just realized that when you use this option music doesn't start playing automatically if the player is started by double clicking on an mp3 file. And the previous playlist is left intact.

Run it in Bar mode and its awesome. Works great for a touchscreen.

    Free trial I believe.

I am trying this in free mode as well. Works nicely. I was hoping something as or nearly as good as this free was available somewhere.

    I know, I know....cheapskate.
