I am using a program called Dvdnextcopy... I was wondering if I copy a copy protected DVD...does that ruin the copy protection on the DVD I am copying? If it doesnt, is there any way at all someome can determine if a copy was made?

Oh no! Not my magnets!!! Would the magnets I bought in Australia be safe...Australia magnets have different region coding, right?

Arrrgh
What about my fridge magnets that are glued to the fridge?
Can I get round the erase button by making a copy and then copying the copy - or does the magic erase button just erase every DVD-R I have near my computer?

Not to worry. When you are done making a copy just reinsert the original DVD into the player backwards and copy again. This will reset the DVD back to zero. Your DVDs, Hard Drives and Magnets will be safe.

To prevent them from detecting that you made a copy of the DVD, you MUST run the original disc through a cross-cut shredder before you return it.

So that's why my toupee kept falling off when I was backing up my DVD's...damn magnets

Make sure that you aren't connected to the Internet when you make the copy. The Peterson-bias auto remosifier reports the event over the Internet.

You can tell when the DVD log file has been transmitted to the authorities when you notice the dye leaking from the DVD.

SM9,
Copying a dvd has no effect on the original, and there is no way to determine if a dvd has been copied.

Yeah, and besides ruining my kitchen magnets, it also made me sterile!!!!

You forgot to mention if the DVD is from Emperors Club VIP in Washington DC

Don't forget about the spike strips as you attempt to leave the store. And if you attempt to leave on foot they will release the dogs.
your best bet is to sit in the parking lot on top of the roof of your car for 2-3 hours to see if the authorities come,
if they don't, you might be lucky to survive the night. If they do, don't hide or fight them, cooperate fully and admit to everything you have done bad in the past, they will go easier on you and won't press for the electric chair, they will just make you sit through a 1000 hours of the worst movies ever made.Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but to skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting "Holy Shit... I have heard that if you copy one disc, then put that disc too close to other discs that haven't been copied, they will, after a short time, look like they have been copied to. I keep all my discs on a bookshelf with at least 1" of books in between each disc. Apparently the copiness cannot pass through paper.

Well, I perfected a workaround for the refrigerator magnet issue, but then the fillings fell out of my teeth. Back to the drawing board.
