I got lots of old CD's that need to be thrown away, I was wondering if I can throw em in with my other plastics to be recycled, or is there another way of doing it for free?

  2. Are these commerical music CDs? If so, why not take them to a Charity Shop? If they are CD-Rs then I would put them in the recycling. I read a while ago that old CDs had been sent to China, crushed and then used to re-surface roads.

So your saying I can recycle my CD's by putting them into the plastic recycling bin or by sending them to china (does that cost)?

I tried getting more info on the subject but its quite useless as there is no "contact us" links anywhere on their websites, I only found out that you can recycle your CD Cases along with your toys, but that's it.

Computer part recyclers often take used floppy and CD-R.

I would just put them in your re-cycling bin. Asking us all to send them to China personally is going a bit far.

Why would I give a rat's hind-quarters about repaving a road in China? If we are to believe in the law of "supply and demand," China's one of the big reasons the US is paying $4/gallon for gasoliine.

Throw 'em in the recycle bin.

Merely stating a use for stuff that could otherwise end up in landfill sites.
