So i'm using Premiere Pro 1.5, and trying to edit some widescreen movie footage I have taken.
Anyway, the resolution of the movie file is 704 x 576. Once I import it into the program and drag it onto the timeline it is squashed into a square in the main sequence window and I can't figure out how to get it back to its original proportions for editing.
Any help? Thankyou.

I've made the main project settings 16:9 as far as I know, here are some screenshots.
The main settings i've used to begin with -

The properties of the file, which when played with VLC media player shows up with the correct aspect ratio -

The squashed video - http://i38.tinypic.com/2vseqeo.jpg -
For reference I figured out the solution.
Each individual video imported has to be tweaked, right clicking the files and choosing "Interpret Footage" gave me the appropriate options.
Thanks.
