For some reason...and I'm not sure why, I've been thinking off and on about buying a PSP. Some for games, some for movies, some for the extras (skype, etc.), but I haven't been able to talk myself into it. I was curious to know who has / had a PSP and likes / loves / hates it and why I should or shouldn't get one. I think they're around $160 for the console alone or $200 for the bundles with a game and a movie.

    Thanks in advance guys.

Nothing can stop me now, 'cause I don't care anymore.

I dont' have a psp or ds but you might consider a ds instead of you like GUITAR HERO. The Guitar Hero Touring edition looks like a riot.

Though I'm sure the PSP is a better media player than the ds and the screen seems to be excellent.
Donatello - The Shredder? Michelangelo - Maybe all that hardware is for making coleslaw?

I just Bought a PSP back in Feb. It is great. If you do some research online there are alot of aftermarket upgrades that can be done to it. The gameplay is Great. Don't watch movies on it. I have connected over the Internet and placed some photos and MP3's on it. Any other questions feel free to PM me...

I don't think you should do it. Sounds like a good idea to get a PSP but most likely it will just be gathering dust in 3 months.
    His name was MackemX

What kind of a man are you? The guy is unconscious in a coma and you don't have the guts to kiss his girlfriend?

PSP is a good investment, especially with Final Fantasy Crisis Core coming out and God of War on it. The only reason I play the PSP now is because I put loads of emulators on it, I can play all my old games, watch my favourite movies, visit youtube, play my music, use skype, video messengers etc, its all good. And its useful with the PS3.

Did you mean "(I) don't watch movies on it"? It plays movies decently enough, but I prefer my 60 buck portable dvd player.

The DS also has a ton of emulators (snes, genesis, gameboy, scummvm, etc.)

My only gripe about PSP is that they used it on Journey to the Center of the Earth as the "modern device". It was your basic:
    "How did you do that?!"
    "I used technology, old man."

That also bugs me about Youtube. Seems like there's a contest lately to see who can put the most Youtube references in their movie
