    if i download a movie thats already in .mpg format.. do i have to re-encode the movie again to make a vcd or can i just burn it to videocd using nero?

    if its an mpeg-1 video you should be able to burn it straight to the cd if its in vcd format, if it isnt nero will tell you and you should be able to convert through nero
