Hello,
I have successfully changed my Samsung DVD-HR753 from region 2 to
region free. Problem: when I play a region 1 DVD (USA, Canada), there
is no color. I think this has something to do with PAL versus NTSC.
My TV is PAL since I'm in Europe. Can I change the modus of my DVD
player, and if, am I enabled to reset it?
Thanx for help,
sni6ero

There are Philips DVDRs and players that'll play both NTSC and PAL discs if you set the player's "TV System" to PAL or NTSC. Should be under VIDEO settings if your DVDR is similar. That matches the playback to the TV you're using.

thanx a lot for the hint. I'd found out that I simply had to change the video output from "Component" to "RGB". Color is back now.
