After cutting out a segment of an ISO with DVDShrink im left with a very slim & tall video, can anyone suggest why this is happening?
Everything works okay the video shape is just too slim & tall....is this due to it being from a vob or something?
Do i have to burn it to a dvd, then rip it again to get it in a normal shape?
Ive tried playing with all the settings and its still the same?
Thanks....

Just incase anyone had the same problem..
I backed up to HD Folder VOB's etc...which played a weird shape, but then i burned the VOB to a DVD and it played fine, fit my TV screen perfect.
But the VOB file (or any of its converts) still wouldnt play normally on my pc/itunes/ipod.
BUT then i thought why not back up as ISO (in DVDShrink), then convert that ISO to a video file, & it worked fine!
So the trick is for DVD compilations create VOB's, but if you want to make a video file out of your work on DVDShrink, save as ISO, then convert the ISO with a prog, i used Handbrake...dont think theres too many other progs that do ISO straight to video... -
What you are seeing is a 16:9 video in 4:3 mode. There are two places that a DVD tells the player a video is 16:9. One is in the IFO files, the other is in the header for the video. Some rely only on the IFO files, so the DVD usually plays back correctly, but anything looking at just the VOBs will see a 4:3 video. The simplest way to correct this is with DVD Patcher, which will change the headers of the VOBs to be what they should be.

Its cool once the VOBs burned to DVD it plays fine, & if i just save as ISO (aswell as VOB) then i can convert straight from that ISO to mp4 (for ipod & youtube use)
I used VOB2MPG to convert the VOB and that still played as 4:3, i just tried to patch it & selected 16:9 but it stayed the same?
Im not too bothered tbh, as long as that mpg still burns to DVD normally?
peace
