Sky+ usb connection

Hello everyone
I have just joined and would like some advice please.
Sorry if this is in the wrong section, I've been serching for info on connecting a sky+ box to pc to copy recorded material onto a PC, I've found some posts regarding streaming, recording to DVD and capturing via a capture card but there is no mention anywhere of the USB port on the back.
Is there any way of connecting this to a PC and copying to PC? if so do I need software and will there be any harm if I just plug in.

Thanks for that I did google myself but with a different word combination, I didn't find this.
It seems that I'm doomed to a capture card then and recording in real time.

the usb is disabled on sky boxes afaik.
so, no its not poss to connect to pc atm.
