    i am trying to rip a dvd on to a vcd,i use smart ripper to rip and then i use dvd2avi,then when i go to use tmpgenc,i can input the audio file,BUT WHEN IT COMES TO THE video file,it says cannot open or unsupported,what am i doing wrong,its driving me looney.
    i am doing everything the vcdhelp guide tell me,.

    PLEASE HELP ME,cause they r going to lock me up,im going ga ga ere.

  2. what is the file extention? it should be a .d2v file after using dvd2avi. if not check your settings in the dvd2avi program and make sure the are the same as the guide you are following.

    yes it is a .d2v file,tmpgenc wont open it,how do i convert to a AVI file?

  6. Make sure the *.d2v file is the one written by DVD2AVI and not the one written by Smartripper.
