I have a file that I have made in Premier. I have created a CD that works fine in my DVD.

But, to give a copy to someone else (my home picture stuff), I need to "print to video" and move it to VHS. I did this tonight. Goint through a Hollywood Bridge.

I am getting what looks like Digital blocks at the very first part of each picture that during the transition through some of the pictures. (This particular video is of stills, 5 sec each, transitions, and music in the background.)

    Any thoughts or recommendations?

    Thanks

Guess I'll just have to be frustrated with this. I'm getting no help or suggestions.

Just a note, I have been trying to do my share to offer help, based on the fact I'm pretty new to this. Sure would be nice to see someone return the favor. I know it can be boring to answer these simple quiestions. I have looked through the site, I really have. (Don't mean it isn't here, I may not be using the right words to search).

    Oh well.....

For those of you who read this thread hoping to find an answer to this problem also (I presume all the readers are looking for answers, and don't have any to offer), sorry this was no help to you.

  4. What is your capture card? The final video (to Vhs) has witch resolution? I think you have used the mpeg file from your vcd (or dvd), recompressed with premiere and the result is a terrible avi (re-recompress with poor resolution). Give more information!

    Thanks for your reply!

Actually, I sent it from an AVI file directly from Premier, through a Dazzle DV Bridge to a VCR. The settings in Premier when looking at the Proect Settings are: 720 X 480, 29.97 Frame Rate, Depth: millions, quality 100%, d1/dv/ntsc pixel aspect ratio, Sample rate 44100, 16 bit stereo, uncompressed, Render: lower field first.

I am selecting File, Export Timeline, Export to Tape when I send it to the video.

Since I wrote about this problem, I sent it to a Sony DV recorder, then from it to the VCR, and it went over good. Although, in the future, I would rather send it without using the copy to the Digital camera first.

    Thanks
