Hello everyone
I borrowed a Sony DCR-PC110E handycam from a friend to shoot some video footage.
The problem now is how to transfer the video from the miniDV tape to the PC...
I've read much articles and forum posts over the net about this and concluded that the ususal/proper way is via the firewire cable (or so called I.Link), although in some places I found that in general this can also be done with the USB port (which by default is used to access the memory card) at a cost of a slightly lower quality...
If I want the "firewire way", I have to drive over to the shop (which isn't near) to buy the cable...
So I would like to check with you guys is this possible via USB? (I'll be using Adobe Premiere CS3 for capturing)

According to the user manual, the USB option is used exclusively for MemoryStick operations. Taped material can only be sent via FireWire. John Miller
