DOes anyone know of a converter (that works which isn't SUPER or 4U AVI MPEG Converter or AVD Video Processor 7.7 TRIAL or Magic Video Batch Converter or Ulead Videostudio ) that can batch convert multiple widescreen videos which are all similar but different sizes and are about 50 minites each but one is 65 minuites each into Adobe Premiere Pro compatible, as anyone I am looking for as little quality loss as possible and as small as possible as these will be on my HDD for a while. but it can be in total a maxmum of 50 gb but all 13 files files will be in use in the project as it is a very long trailer / hightlight reel. Plus other thingsin it. It must be able to convert from XVID and DIVX (both CODECS are installed) OR could you just help me fix the problem in Adobe itself. Unfirtunatly you might get nothing out as it says the audio CODEC isn't supported . So any ideas?

  2. If I understand correctly you have a batch of AVIs with various resolutions and length which you would like to convert into a common parameters before prpcessing further.

You could use Mediainfo or GSpot to check what kind of codecs are being used and try do download+install them onto your computer. If they are AVIs created from capturing DV tapes then a Mpeg2 codec might be needed.

For batch conversion I would use VirtualDub. Create a desired set of processing settings with your first AVI, save it for the next use. Save your desired avis in batch mode by VirtualDub and take some time for coffee or beers. But for sure you will get good quality output.
