Does iMovie support the JVC EVERIO? How did you transfer the file?

iMovie does not support that camcorder. Google got me to this. You need to massage the file for it to work in iMovie.

I thought you said you have a problem. I gave up on iMovie '08 for HDV because it wanted to convert 1440x1080i to 960x540.

Ask the mod to move you to the Mac forum. Also seek help in an iMovie 08 specific forum.

Here is the iMovie '08 list of supported camcorders. None of the JVD HD models are there.

I'll move you to our Mac forum where you may get more Mac specific replies. It would help if you filled out your computer details so we would know what OS you are using.

You may have started the iMovie project in the wrong aspect ratio. Start a new project and set the ratio correctly, then re-import.
