It seems like alot of work just to do some basic editing but I understand these methods are all I can do right now. I'll take a break from this and give it another go at another time. Thanks again everyone.

Ok, for now, I will try using the ts cutter (which I didnt get working until now) and then a ts joiner and either burn as it or convert to mp4 if a smaller file is needed.
