It doesn't. Its easy to tell with ATI. Its an All In Wonder or it doesn't do analog to digital.

Also the All in Wonders cost just a tad more and have lots of connectors. Plus multimedia center software. Basically if its not blatantly obvious that it has it then it doesn't.

However just to be sure (before I put my foot in my mouth again) I checked.

I have the ATI TV Wonder 650 Pro Tuner card. All I do is connect the VCR to the card and record the contents of the VCR tapes to my hard drive in one easy shot. Quality and sound is great. Whatever the tapes shows is what goes on your hard drive. This also works for cassette decks-to record you music off cassettes to your HD and convert them to MP3.

  4. I've got an All in Wonder Radeon 9600 in an older PC with a slower CPU but before I try as you suggested, would I get any quality improvement over the way I did it yesterday which was by recording VHS to DV tape (by connecting VCR to Video Camera) then capturing from DV tape (using Vegas). Thanks.
