Please take a look at the image ~
Indeed I have some trailers collected from youtube and the resolution is
not high enough, I think it is not wise to make them "full screen" as it will
make the movie more unclear, so I decide to put the video in the "heart" part
but it comes with a problem:
I try to edit the movie and the still image, it works fine and I can do what I want but
after encoding my product done in after effects(which is in .mov format with very clear
still image) to .mpg , the still image becomes unacceptably unclear. Is there any ways to
keep the quality of the still image?

You haven't given enough information for anyone to say for certain what your problem is. Are you encoding into mpeg-1 (e.g., VCD), or mpeg-2 (e.g., for DVD), or h.264? What resolutions? Frame rates? Bitrates? These things all matter. What are the source characteristics? Have any additional transcodes taken place between the original source and the final target? If so, how many, and what were the characteristics of these additional encodings?
In the absence of more information, all one can speculate is that the combination of resolution and bitrate you've chosen is deficient in some respects. Post back with more info and someone here can provide more specific suggestions.
