Is there a gun against your head ? Honestly ?

Stop using Nero. It's quality is average, it's skills are minimal, and it's size is in inverse proportion to it's worth.

FAVC is a far better solution, producing a higher quality output using a much better encoder. Burn the results with Imgburn.

    Try these steps:
Download DVDFlick (offers a simple menu structure) and author the video_ts folder.
Download dvdshrink and compress, if needed.
Download imgburn to burn the dvd +/-r.

If you need to use DVD Shrink, you screwed up the first step.

Nero sounds like the best choice for you. When you open Nero Vision make sure you have chosen DVD (not DVD-9) from the pulldown in the lower right. Nero should automatically fit to disc unless you have an extremely long running time.
