Hello all,
I'm an EXTREME newbie to video editing and working with video in general.
I've tried a few searches with "youtube" and "uploading to youtube", etc. and didn't come up with much. (That may be my fault, I understand.)
Anyway, here's some info:
I have a Canon HV20.
I have Premiere Elements 4.
I really don't care if the video is HD.
I guess I'm seeking a nice workflow from
Videoing
to
Getting it on YouTube.
What I'm doing right now...is exporting the .avi file (I'm guessing that is the default format for my camera? If there is a different thing to set on my camera for an easier format, I'm all ears!) to my PC in the form of a .flv
However, I'm not sure if that's the best thing to do.
Should I convert to .mpg or .wmv?
So, if somebody would be kind enough to give me a step-by-step workflow...or direct me to a link or some tutorials so I can learn on my own... I'd be extremely grateful!
Thanks very much for your time and efforts!
Ted
