I mistakenly took a picture of my grand-daughter while my camera was in movie mode. Is there any way to capture an individual frame and convert it to some format that I can make a photo out of (jpeg)? Thanks for any help.

assuming you have transferred the video to the computer, play the avi in powerdvd or almost any other media player and pause at the picture. use the media player's screenshot function to save it as jpeg. the resolution can be no higher than what it was recorded at, if miniDV it will be 720x480.
