Don't think its the same. You're not using hot water and blowing hot air on it are you?
    His name was MackemX

What kind of a man are you? The guy is unconscious in a coma and you don't have the guts to kiss his girlfriend?

Need a liquid cooling system that pumps heat outdoors.

One persons hobby is another's waste of time.

IMHO Watercooling is an expensive add-on that isn't needed for the average computer user. On My Q6600 system the CPU fan is temperature controlled and the only time I ever hear it at all is when it is run at full speed for a few seconds when the computer is turned on and POSTS. The air coming out of the power supply is warmer than the exhaust air from the case. I set up batch encodes that run for hours and even though the computer is next to the TV set which I use for TV and as a Computer monitor I never hear the CPU fan during those hours of encoding.

If you enjoy tinkering for the sake of tinkering and seeing what you can get out of a processor then yes Watercooling makes sense.

If you are the type of person that likes to take a inexpensive processor and Overclock the heck out of it then you do need watercooling. OTOH you could just add the watercooling cost and probably get a cooler running fancy processor for about the same performance and cost and not have to spend all that time tweaking and fiddling.

Since I use my computer for Internet and video work and not gaming I also do not have fancy video cards adding their heat to the case.

The days when I liked to tinker with hardware are past. I just want it to work. I spend to much time fixing them here at work nowadays.

Back before the IBM PC I tinkered. Took a inexpensive computer and added a lowercase kit with true descenders, Modded in a better keyboard, Took a Floppy controller ands customized a Eprom to add functions and so on. Patched Wordstar CP/M to work on another dual floppy (360K) system and so on.

These days I just want it to work reliably

    Cheers.

Or something like this case that has a small compressor, evaporator, condenser and piped the cold freon to the processor. I seem to recall that it was supposed to keep the CPU below Zero Fahrenheit.

Just try to avoid this as posted here by somebody and the average person will be OK. I've seen computers that look like this when they come in for servicing. Strangely enough they still work.

I'm Sorry but I forgot who posted this.

Actually one of the dudes I knew on a campus has added exhaust tube to his PC and run it through the window airconditioner to blow the air outside.
He always complained before that his PC heats up the room (he did live in a really tiny room in somebody's home). I always thought it was his huge analog monitor that generated more heat than his PC but maybe I was wrong since he seem to be happy with what he did afterward...

Since when has there been a need for airconditioning in the UK....... the very very few odd days that might be considered ...hardly warrant the cost investing in airconditioning...... we rarely reach 30c in temperature to bother with aircon use........we struggle with 25c......I have aircon in my car but never use it.......open the windows far better fresh air.

    Meanwhile enjoy you aircon machine.....

That was my point. There hasn't been a really hot day in the UK since I bought the machine a couple of years ago. Except to test it when it was new, I've never even switched it on.

If anyone else is thinking of buying one I warn you the kind of "portable" floor-standing a/c units most easily found in the UK are next-to-useless anyway. They require a 120mm diameter exhaust vent to the outside plus a similar sized air inlet, preferably from the cooler side of the house. Simply leaving a door or window open is useless as all the cooled-air will escape. They also need a solid concrete floor on which to stand otherwise when the compressor kicks-in the entire house will shake, along with the neighbours' houses.
