Here's my situation: right now I have a file server with all of my media files. I'm looking to back them up to external hard drives. Is there any program in which I can copy the files to the external drives, delete backups from the external drives that I'm no longer interested in, and have a database of what's been copied where and what hasn't been backed up?

Well, Windows Explorer will do all that, with an easily viewable interface.
This doesn't really seem to be a "backup" issue, but I like SynchBack free version, though it lacks some "ease of use" features.
Explorer gives you copy, move, thumbnail preview, it's free, already there, easy to use, not sure what more you would want?
