  1. Hi All,

I would like to replace Nero with a free alternative burning software for Audio and Data. Do you have any recommendations? I'm currently using ImgBurn for my DVD burning, and it works great, but would like a CD/Audio burning software that free, since I'm not going to upgrade my Nero 6.0.

    Thanks.

Just use what you've been using:
ImgBurn supports a wide range of image file formats - including BIN, CUE, DI, DVD, GI, IMG, ISO, MDS, NRG and PDI.

It can burn Audio CD's from any file type supported via DirectShow / ACM - including AAC, APE, FLAC, M4A, MP3, MP4, MPC, OGG, PCM, WAV, WMA and WV.

For DVD Video you cannot beat ImgBurn.

For audio CD ripping and copying you should be using EAC aka Exact Audio Copy.

  4. Deep Burner is a good free data CD and DVD burning app. It has a very easy to use interface, similar to the old Adaptec software.

ImgBurn for all your data needs (CD or DVD, including DVD-Video).
For your music needs (Audio CD), use BurnAware.

    That's all you need.
