Ok, when I am playing any random DVD and I switch to the original foreign language it forces English subtitles onto the video. There is no option for JUST the other language. Is there any program or something out there that can stop my DVD from showing the subtitles? They are ugly and distracting.

Ok, just to be a bit more clear. I didn't realize that I could turn it off through subtitle options on the DVD players.
However I use my Laptop to watch these anime DVDs. I never looked into it but my Laptop came preinstalled with QuickPlay which I never really liked. In fact I hate this program. I read in the instructions for my Laptop that QuickPlay was the only thing that would let me play Blu-Ray discs. But this is a DVD and I am quite sure that is a lie anyway. So, I have 2 questions.
1. For anyone that knows/uses QuickPlay, where is the subtitles option if there is one?
2. If it is possible, what is some good, free DVD/Blu-Ray player software that I could use instead of this QuickPlay crap? -
How do I delete this topic, I think it has kinda left the thread of discussion here.
Can I request this topic to be closed/deleted please? -
You must be in one heck of a hurry.
So much so that you have no time to look in the Tools section. Or read a help file or manual.
