I have some games like Devil May Cry 4 that run at a smooth 60fps. Whenever I capture in Virtualdub and have the final video the framerate always seems to be about 30fps. How can I convert it?

  2. Capture interlaced. That will get you 60 fields per second for smoother playback. Or buy a Hauppauge HD PVR that can capture component video at 720p60.

What didn't work? What resolution are you capturing?

How were you playing 480i to 60?

Give us a short clip of action.

Yes, use a bob or smart bob filter to turn 60 fields per second into 60 frames per second.
