  1. Hi, i'm new here so apologies for any mistake that I can eventually comit here.
I've recently bought a 510-USB extern capturing device from Pinnacle and i can't make it work properly.
I've installed everything right, twice, first time following my own instincts, but after realizing it didn't work, i tried to reinstall following the instructions.
This is what I was trying to do:
I have a lot of old VCR here, and i bought this to get rid of a lot this junkie and save it all on DVD.
But after doin' all the process I got signal on the Studio, but it was Black 'n' White and no Audio. =/

    Here's exactly what i did:

    - Plugged the 510-USB transcoding to my my VCR by RCA cable and to my computer by USB ( so far no big deal )
    - Installed the Studio 11
    - Registered
    - Installed the atualization patch (
    - Installed NTSC Bonus CD ( I live at Brazil )
    - I tried to install the PAL CD to what happens, but still got the same.

    what should i do??

    Thanks for your attention.

    Search Comp PM
    Goto: http://www.pinnaclesys.com/PublicSite/us/Products/Consumer+Products/?viewRN=rnanswer

And put this in search: get black and white video.
There were too many ones that it showed for me to read...but maybe one will help you. The common one is that the source is set wrong in the capture program, if you are capturing form NTSC it must be set to NTSC.

Audio is another problem, some devices have audio that passes through to the sound device on your computer and you need to check that the inputs are enabled. You should hear sound from source through speakers on PC. If all else fails go back to site above and search for: no audio.

  4. I've sent an e-mail to Pinnacle support system and they claimed that the studio 11 doesn't support the format Pal-M from the Brazilians VCRs and told me to use the Instant DVD Recorder to capture the movie.
It worked, i was able to record a DVD with the content of my tape but i found out that the same DVD (the one that i burned from my the Instant DVD Recorder) didn't play on my DVD Player. I got this message "unable to read DVD content. Check the color system."
    what should i do??
is there any way for me to read the Pal-m format from the VCR and convert do NTSC, using the program?
