Hello, hello -
I have tried COUNTLESS memorex hacks to make my memorex 2023 multi-region/region-free and none of them seem to be working. I found one on the site -
But cannot seem to make it work. I've tried at least 25-30 times... I've tried it fast, I've tried it slow - I've even tried modifications of it that seem to work on other memorexes (press clear after the tray opens; try other numbers ect...) but I'm not certain what I'm doing wrong?Region code hack posted by Luis Robles, January 01 2007:
1. Power on and open the tray
2. Enter: 1, 3, 6, 9 and the number for your required region, use 0 (zero) for region free ( no program screen will show, just go all togeter, for example, lets go for region 0,) ( power on, open tray, 13690, power of, power on)
3. Power off via the Power/Standby button
4. Power on
It works, please try more than one time.
Any suggestions?

First, it's not uncommon hack codes to not work on players from different regions. In other words, if the hack is for the UK version of the player, it may not work on the US version of the player. Secondly, it's also not uncommon for new versions of the same player to have the firmware locked and no longer accept the code. So it's highly likely that you aren't doing anything wrong, the player simply cannot be "hacked" with that code.
