I searched the best of my ability and couldn't find my question addressed, at least not directly. I have a video taken with a MiniDV camcorder that needs some audio editing. I'm trying to figure out how to demux the audio into WAV files, edit it in Audacity (preserving the length), and then remux it. I found this post detailing how to extract the audio using VirtualDubMod but I can't find any detailed instructions on how to remux it. I'd like to perform all this before I do any other editing or convert to any other formats. Any help would be much appreciated.

  2. What editing software are you using? You should be able to select the track, render as 48KHz/16 bit WAV, edit, save edits, then bring the new track into your timeline in place of the original. If you're using any of the major editing softwares it should be easy to do it this way.

  3. You can also do it really easily with GraphEdit.

Not sure yet. I downloaded Avid Free DV but haven't installed it yet. My only real experience is with Windows Movie Maker. I'm open to any suggestions on which free video editing software would be good for this task.
