I'm trying to basically cut&merge a mpg1 encoded video. When I try a quickstream fix in videoredo it cuts out a part of the video. When I use virtualdubmod, it says:

[!] MPEG: Anachronistic or discontinuous timestamp found in audio stream 0 at
byte position 68159716, from 34277884 to 35251206. This may indicate an
    improper join.

It list 3 other spots as well. What TMPGEnc program can I use to cut&merge it? There's TMPGEnc mpeg editor premium and TMPGEnc video editor. I see alot of people recommend this program, I'm just confused as to which one is the better program?

Also, would that fix the seeking/freezing issue?

You can use the free tmpgenc, you find the basic editor under file->mpeg tools. But it's not as good as tmpgenc mpeg editor and videoredo.

    cool, thanks for the info.

So can tmpgenc somehow fix this discontinuous timestamp problem without cutting out frames? When using quickstream fix in videoredo, it cutout portions of the vid that I know work.

    In VideoReDo:
try going into options/Stream Parameters and in the Detect/resync missing frames option and select Resync-Insert extra video frames and see if that does a better job

MPEG-VCR also has a function that is similar to the "QuickStream Fix" in VideoRedo. It might work better for you?
