Hi.
I bought a DVD for my 4 year old daughter and copied it before she snapped it or caused some other sort of damage. I used Mac the Ripper to get all the files onto my computer. all the files were 4.7 GB (too big for my DVDs which only take 4.38 BG). I used DVD2OneX to shrink the files to 4.33 GB and then burnt the VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS or whatever the files are onto a blank DVD. It works fine (the volume is really low for some reason, although i havn't checked the volume on the original) but when i put it in the DVD player it automatically starts playing. It has all the menus and special features on there and i can get to them by pressing the DISC MENU button on my remote but have i done something wrong in the process?
Whenever i take the DVD out and put it back in it starts off where i finished it from the time before.
1. Have i done something wrong to the menus and the starting off where it finished during the burn? how do i get them back if i redo the burn?
2. Is there an easier way to copy a DVD than the process i used? I don't want to have to pay for software (although i did buy DVD2OneX and then found out it doesn't copy DVDs with CSS encryption).
Thanks for any help.![]()

Whenever i take the DVD out and put it back in it starts off where i finished it from the time before.
Mine remembers up to 5 discs. -
Same with my three Magnavox DVD Recorders and my two RCA DVD Players.
To get it to go back to the beginning, simply turn off the unit with the
disc removed. wait 10 seconds, restart the unit.
Put the disc in, it will have forgotten the disc and treat it as new.
And yes, DVD2ONEX will not break CSS encryption.
That is against the law in most countries that do trade with the USA.
That is why they tell you up front that they do not RIP, which
is what a Ripping program does, is circumvent CSS.
