I have a video that is over 2 hours and 6.51 GB and as a .mkv plays perfectly on my computer without a problem. I've been trying to convert it to an .mpg so I can stream it onto my PS3 but whenever I try muxing the video it only makes it about halfway(3.72GB) then comes up with this error:
Matroska parse error: Invalid EBML number size tag 15 at pos 5963006249
(this error is from tsmuxergui; mkv2vob would only mux the same amount then say complete without any errors.)
Am I doing something wrong?
Here is the tsmuxergui output:
SmartLabs tsMuxeR. Version 1.8.4(b) http://www.smlabs.net
Decoding H264 stream (track 1): Profile: High@5.1 Resolution: 1280:528p Frame rate: 23.976
H.264 muxing fps not set. Get fps from stream.
H264 bitstream changed: insert nal unit delimiters
H264 bitstream changed: insert pict timing and buffering period SEI units
Decoding AC3 stream (track 2): Bitrate: 640Kbps Sample Rate: 48KHz Channels: 6
B-pyramid level 1 detected. Shift DTS to 2 frames
H264 bitstream changed: insert SPS/PPS units
If you need any more information to answer my question just ask. Thanks.

MKV2VOB will transcode file automatically if needed....
By processing I mean did you "use" or open in, or run it by, convert if you will, you know just a figure of speech is all.....The proggy( in this case mkv2vob), is processing it........I guess I'll stop using the word....
In configuration set "file split " to none....see if that helps..." Who needs Google, my wife knows everything" -
Ok I will try that next; ok I changed it to 4.1 and saved as .mt2s but its still doing the same. It works till 53.9% then the number freezes and sits there and jumps to 71.9% and come up with this error:
Matroska parse error: Invalid EBML number size tag 15 at pos 5963006249 -
Maybe a bad mkv file......You never know!

I guess the best idea would be to find another copy of the file from a different source. Thanks anyway!
BTW would it being x264 have anything to do with it? -
I know this is a bit late, but I had the same problem and managed to solve it.
I used mkvmergeGUI to recreate the mkv using the *broken* mkv as the source. Interestingly the size of my MKV dropped from 4.5Gb to 1.6Gb with no apparent loss in quality. I was then able to use TSMuxerGUI to create a BluRay disk structure with no problems.
Might be handy for anyone else who comes up against this error. -

Use the MKVMERGUE. i found the solution!!!! put the video in this program, later click Multiplexing and finish.
The video stay exactly same to the other (but errorless). to me works great!!!
