I went out bought a beutiful mini-dv camera, bought a firewire card, taped a bunch of shows of a good band that still allows videotaping. I am trying to record 90-min sets onto my computer, but the win98/2000 limitations for avi/dv files to 4 gig is holding me back. If anyone knows how to get around this. Just trying to get some feedback, i know people capture to large files, but how? Or can you piece together seamlessly clips? any help would be greatly appreciated

win 2000 has no such limitation if you have an ntsf hardrive. and you could convert your files to another format to avoid the problem... (it is possible to seemlessly attach files.)
