  1. This may be a total noob question but then when it come to YouTube I am a total noob.
    I have a cam - a Nokia N95 actually - that shoots directly to mp4. Results are pretty descent and certainly good enough for web video. But when I upload it to YouTube it turns into a slideshow like this.
    I'd post the original video's specs but I'm not sure how to get them from mp4 video...

    Convert to avi using mp4cam2avi or to avi divx/xvid using winff, xvid4psp and upload.

    Use MediaInfo to identify the video details in a mp4.

    There is some noteceable quality loss due to re- and re-encoding though.

    Is it still possible to encode a clip to certain specs (be it FLV or mp4) so that youtube doesnt re-encode again?
