I've read that you should convert to flv before uploading to YouTube.
What software is needed to convert a video to flv?
I currently use Adobe Premiere Pro 1.5 and it can't encode to flv.

    Thanks

YouTube is slowly shifting to MP4 format, though they still display in FLV by default. You may as well upload a high quality format and YouTube will encode to FLV and MP4. If you still insist on uploading in FLV, you can use Riva or Super. (Please keep in mind that YouTube will also reencode a FLV if the bitrate is too high.)

To download YouTube videos in either FLV or MP4, you can use either of these:

Again you can find your answers in the youtube threads:

    https://forum.videohelp.com/topic346256.html

on the first link youll fins several tools and methods of converting to FLV.

Super by the reports here and elsewhere messes up your sysem codecs, riva doesnt produce good quality.

look at mencoder and ffmpeg, if you need agui there are a ccouple of them, avanti for ffmpeg that trashes super or riva on quality with a lot of options on it, for mencoder you have Automen.

If still not satisfied you can use Winff.

All you need is on those threads.

if you searched the foru at the top with "youtube flv tools" you would find the answers
I love it when a plan comes together!
