My TV is a Sony KV-27FS120. My DVD player is a Philips DVP3960/37. Last night I tried playing a film on DVD from "Raro Video & Nocturno" called "Colpo In Canna". The sound for the film was so low I had to turn the volume on my TV up to maximum to hear things and even then it was still too quiet for my hard of hearing ears. So far, this is the only DVD where this has happened. Advice?

Is the DVD an original, commercial disk or a computer made burned disk ?

    It's an original, commercial disc.

    P.S.
I had a similar problem with 2 burned DVDs and one other "original, commercial" disc (all of them have feature films on them). All audio elements (i.e. music and sound effects etc.) were ok but the volume re. the dialogue alone was either much too low or went up and down and up and down repeatedly throughout the film. What's going on??
