I'm trying to convert dvd vob files to xvid avi and most of the time I have no problem, but sometimes I can only get 1 or 2 files to encode. I'll hit the encode button and it's races through it in less than a minute and create a 2.3mb file. It's obviously not encoding the vob files. Has anyone had this issue and/or know how to fix it? I would use handbrake, but you can't fast forward any of the xvids that are created which really sucks. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

When I tried to convert a VOB file, it said in the source format boxes "From: VOB Audio: None Video: None" and after it converts the file, I don't see a .mov file where it said it would save to.

What system are you using ......... Linux, widooze or Mac

If its Mac or Windooze then try using Dr. DivX which is still free

When converting from DVD using a ffmpeg preset, you should rip to a single file VOB. Converting individual VOBs may result in problems on some VOBs, while the concatenated file coverts right.
