    Hi there,

Lately my PC in the lounge doesn't appear to be recognising any drives thrown at it (CD/DVD Rom drives) when i open 'My Computer' there isn't even a DVD drive there, however the BIOS does see it as a DVD-RAM.
We have tried changing IDE places with it but we havn't had any luck, still the same problem. Below is a picture of what i see when i go into device manager, i have marked what i want you to see in red.

    Please help me out here..

    Cheers.

P.S even uninstalling the device, restarting windows and waiting for it to add new hardware doesnt even work..

When we looked under the IDE constollers on device manager, it came up with everything being ok, now exclamation marks or anything..

    What else would you suggest?
