  1. I am having a problem making a vcd with menus and chapters. I follow Sefys guide but when I try to play them I get the menus but when I try to play the chapters I can only play the start of the movie.

    Help!
    Any ideas?
    thanks

Wait... And see... VCDwizard neerly is finished.

VCDwizard will allow you to create simple, plain to advanched menues with or without chapters. All explained with an advanched help.

More info will follow later... (propperly 2 more weeks).

For now, I suggest you use VCDimager (VCDwizard corporates with VCDimager's VCDxBuild). As I saw "the light" in July last year, this program is the most advanced (s)vcd creator I ever saw.

Interactive menus? What's that? I thought a menu of (S)VCD always is interactive!?
If you think a (S)VCD menu has kind of DVD-menus, then you're wrong. Those are only supported at DVD, not at (S)VCD. If it does, then show me an example

    svcd sub-titles?
No way, VCDwizard only supports what was standard in VCDimager v. 0.7.10 - subtitling must be already insight the movie. I did not yet found a SVCD where I can turn the subtitling on and off, or even choose between multiple language subs. I thought this was only at DVD too !

  5. Subtitles: http://www.vcdhelp.com/subsvirtual.htm

Very hard, must be encoded into MPEG2 stream (SVCD)

No simple software to add them to some separate file to "turn on & off" easily

    I thought so too.
I once thought I-Author supported this kind of subs, but never took a greater look at it (because too complicated.. )

  7. by interactive menu i meant with pointer-clickable hotspots. Say you use a motion video for each chapter on the menu, when you move the pointer over the square, a frame appears, and when you hit return or ok the selected movie plays. i know its possible for vcds, it was mention in the vcdimager manual as not supported, but i guess that means your GUI won't support it either.

  8. The new TSCV will let you multiplex in subs, it will do the menu's aswell, motion or still (though not as advanced as DVD menu's due to the SVCD limitations).
