I need a Vista-compatible freeware program to edit MPG files.

    Any recommendations?

I guess it's mpeg2 files? And you don't want to reconvert the video?

Then can you use avidemux, mpg2cut2, cuttermaran. Bút they are not that easy to use as videoredo, tmpgenc mpeg editor, etc.

If you don't care if the video is reconverted then it should work with windows movie maker if you have a mpeg2 decoder installed.
