    Here is my current problem.

First I split the 7G mkv file into 2 chunks so each chunk will fit into a DVD5 ie 2 vob's one 4Gb the other 3GB

Then I created the IFOs with IFOedit for each of the video streams separately.

After creating the IFO , I tried burn them with Nero Express and immediately run into problem of too large file as each file is larger than 2GB . So I used Image Burn to create the iso and burn the DVD. However the the iso image will not even play using VLC player or any other s/w player in the computer. Yes I did change the language to English in the IFOs. What did I do wrong ?

BTW there are so many audio and subpicture streams that it took a long time to change them all to English . Do I have to change the subpictures to English even if I dont need the subtitles ie can I leave them unassigned?

Please describe exactly what you are doing and what software you are using. It sounds like you split the mkvs and making ifos for mkv files...and that is not possible.

I would instead try other all-in-one converters like ConvertXtoDVD, DVD Flick or FAVC.

And MKV to DVD is video conversion and not editing. Moving you.

I solved the problem by using Nero Vision to create the DVD file structure from each of the split vob's and burning them .
