  1. hi all,
i have a problem with 4 movies ive downloaded from morpheus. they are all .avi's and when i load them into TMPG no audio appears in the audio box. when i try to manually select the audio it says it "cannot open, or unsupported". ive tried loading the files into virtualdub but i get the error: " the requested audio compresion is not compatible with the input format. check that the sampling rate and the channel count of the input match those of the requested format". i can view the film by frames in virtualdub but it wont actually play it, if you get me.
ive followed all the instructions on vcdhelp, read the FAQ and searched this board but i cant seem to find an answer! ive encoded a 700mb divx before in TMPG with no problems but this is starting to annoy me now!
thanks in advance for any help,

    wainy

  2. Sounds like you are missing a codec.

Opening the foobar'd file in VDub using File -> File Information should tell you what the audio was encoded with.
