I make short comedy sketch movies and I need a new editor.

*It must bee in the 100$ - 200$ range.
    *It must support MPEG-2
*It must be able to make really pro looking titles / text
*It must be for Windows XP.
*It must have really good color correction and modifying.
I would like it to export movies to mov files.
*It must be able to do basic effects like speed up, slow down, black and white, sepia, and old film.
I would also enjoy some background music and effects for my videos.

I was thinking maybe Sony Vegas Platinum, EDIUS neo, or Pinnacle Studio 12 *brand new*
Got any other good ones I could use? Which is the best for what I want of the ones I thought of?
    HELP!
    My camera is Sony's DCR-SR45

Ok, pinnacle is out of the question.

i'm a vegas pro kind of guy, but it's only an editor. is platinum an editor/authoring app?

maybe check out cyberlink's powerdirector? good encoder, don't know how good the authoring is.

dvdlab is my choice for an authoring app.

Vegas Platinum is the same as pro but cheaper, not unlimited vid/aud tracks, cannot write AVCHD but can read it, and some other stuff, READ THIS: http://www.sonycreativesoftware.com/vegaspro/compare
I looked at PowerDirector, it looked like a editor for like just putting together family videos and slideshows, not making serious video production.
