  1. Hi, I was wondering if there was any way toplay VCDs on my computer with certain software or whatever and be able to see menus that i would normally see on my stand alone DVD player. Im not using a DVD drive, just a normal cdrw drive.

And btw, is there ANY way to play VCDs on my playstation 2? I heard you cant!

  2. Hi,

About the PS2 thingie... You can't play actual VCD's on it, but you can convert them to a playable disc fo your PS2.

    iconboy,

Most software DVD players can also play VCDs. Good players are PowerDVD and WinDVD. WinDVD will also play SVCDs. For VCD and SVCD it should not be necessary to have a DVD drive.
Also a freeware player called SthsDVD was mentioned in this forum, but I don't have experience with this one. I have seen a download link in this forum, you can use the search to find it.
