Hi, I'm currently making a DVD and I have created the main menu screen using Photoshop, using my Windows Vista computer, I am wondering which computer has a better DVD maker, MAC Leopard, or Windows Vista?

If anyone can recommend a good DVD maker with a lot of customization.

Where the transparent white area is, is where I would like a movie clip to play on the main menu, I am not a pro at DVD creation but can figure some things out. If anyone knows of a program which allows customization such as that, or even custom buttons, fonts, and such that'd be great.

Both have very capable authoring tools. Windows has a wider range of product, and therefore covers a better spread of budgets.

Would there be any way to find some good ones that have a free trial to test out before possibly purchasing the product?

I like DVD Lab Pro, which also happily works under parallels on the Mac. You could also look at Encore if you really love Adobe. It has the nest integration with photoshop of any product, although it isn't the best authoring tool. At the cheaper end you have Ulead MovieFactory, or a step up in price gets you DVD Workshop 2. Finally, there is DVD Architect Studio or Pro from Sony. I believe the Pro version only ships with Vegas.

    All of these have Demos.

On the Mac side the only one I know of that provides real flexibility is DVD Studio Pro

iDVD is still very template driven. It appears customizable to the great unwashed, which is it's target audience and why it is given away free with every Mac, but after a short time everything starts to look same ol', same ol'. Programs like Tmpgenc DVD Author and Ulead MovieFactory have the same limitations. Once you leave basic user-ville, you suddenly find you can't really spread your wings very much at all.
