I was wondering whether there are media players out there that can play the parts of an avi file individually. By parts i mean a singlw large avi file cut into parts with a file splitter or similar.
Hope its freeware too!

Usually, you can only do that if the part you're trying to play has the AVI header. Even then, if you don't have the whole AVI, playback isn't necessarily guaranteed.
If cameras add ten pounds, why would people want to eat them? -
You can try VLC Media Player, but like Ai Haibara said, the parts may not be complete enough to play. Sometimes you can make a copy of one of the files, rename it to .avi and other players may also work.
