    hi,

my notebook was recently infected by a "coolwebsearch" malware and after successfully killed by spyware terminator, now everytime i shutdown & restart there's a popup complaining that :

LogonUI.EXE - Unable to locate component
This application has failed to start because Image.dll was not found.
Re-installing the application may fix this problem.

the image.dll was the problem malware file and was deleted but i think it has already corrupted the logonui.exe

does anyone know how to resolve this? btw it's running windows vista home

    thanks in advance

You might take a look here: http://www.file.net/process/logonui.exe.html Also with a Google search for ' logonui.exe ', you should find other information.

I would also suggest a better anti-spyware product. CoolWebSearch is one of several pieces of spyware we regularly remove (MyWebSearch and FunWebProducts are also high on the list) and we manage to do it without undue damage to the machines we are cleaning. We use Spybot Search and Destroy 1.5
