PAL DVD to NTSC Conversion (read as much as I could)

hello everyone,
I have searched the site as much as I could, coming up with this:

but I havn't really found anything that will do a complete (meaning with menus) and good conversion. The closest thing is here:

but I'd rather not use the "patch" method (or any variation thereof) for the reasons addressed in those threads.

Is there any solid, good-quality (step-by-step) method to convert (meaning, exact, full image) a PAL DVD onto a new DVD, in NTSC format?

No, not really. You can fairly easily convert the main movie and the extras, but there is no simple and fast way to convert menus and all the rest and reassemble it as a NTSC DVD. You would be better off to get a DVD player that can play PAL DVDs if you want the 'whole thing'. Or just convert the main movie and make your own menus.

There is no simple way to do a whole disc, including menus. Conversion of the components is relatively simple, but to convert an entire disc and all it's components basically means breaking it down, extracting all the parts, converting each one in the most appropriate manner, then rebuilding. The amount of effort and time required to do this means that most people end up convert one or two as video only, then go and buy a DVD player that is capable of PAL playback.

The smart ones don't bother converting - they just go and buy a new player.
